When we were approached to build a soapbox car for SFMOMA’s derby race, Lucky Penny became a massive collective project and the definition of labor of love.

Tight Quarters, an art collective / workspace and gallery that I am apart of, along with more artist friends — we were able to build this larger-than-life push cart from scratch as well as the super-sized groceries and items to go with it. Our driver Amanda crashed it right before the finish line but we came running to help her get to the end as a team!
